Are you ready to meet the Best You? If so, you’ve landed at the right spot. As an integrative nutrition coach, I can help you  inspire you to make lasting change and reach your health goals! Helping people through coaching is my passion. Nutrition is my passion.

As a coach, I can help you with:

  • Managing your weight (loss or gain)
  • Increasing energy
  • Reducing brain fog, increasing mental sharpness
  • Managing chronic health issues that can be improved through lifestyle and dietary changes
  • Learning to negotiate the grocery aisles for healthier choices
  • Improving sleep patterns
  • Finding the motivation and developing the habit to move more

Being healthy–being your best you–doesn’t have to be hard.

What are you waiting for?

Choices and Changes

Health isn’t about choosing which diet to be on. Health is about choosing a healthy lifestyle that works for you where you are in the driver’s seat. Health is about you being in control of your weight and health rather than it controlling you.

Everyone is unique, having their own “bio-individuality.” That means there is no such thing as a program that works for everyone. I will work with you to design a plan that works for you, that you’ll enjoy and  helps you meet your goals. Studies show, the more support you have in a variety of forms, the more likely you are to be successful. When we work together, you will get focused, one-on-one attention, email support, access to online groups, access to group workshops at reduced cost. The deck will be stacked in your favor for success!

My clients and I have fun too! You get access to an online tool that enables you to record your activity, food, how you’re feeling, participate in group meetings and workshops which all work together to help you build a support system and lasting change.

Being the best you isn’t only about food. I coach the entire person, mind, body, spirit, which is just as important as improving nutrition. It is impossible to talk about the food you eat without talking about the food that feeds the rest of you.

What feeds your soul?

“Life is a balance between holding on and letting go.”

Peggy Claar

Hi, I am Peggy Claar,  an integrative nutrition coach who graduated from Institute of Integrative Nutrition and am currently studying at the Institute of Nutritional Endocrinology.

Whether you are looking for a coach for you as an individual, someone to refer your patients/ clients to, or a whether you are a human resources professional looking for a coach in your wellness program, I would love to work with you.

I know what it is like to struggle with weight and health issues. As a young person, I was very athletic and fit. I ate healthy foods and felt great.

But things changed after having children, a stressful marriage, and stressful corporate career. I literally ran myself into the ground. I was obese, had back problems, knee problems, and hip problems from being over-weight and sitting all day. The migraines I’d had occasionally in my twenties became frequent in my thirties and forties.  From childhood, I had eczema and psoriasis which became inflamed and much worse during this stressful time. Joint pain and fatigue were a part of my everyday life. I suffered from brain fog, TMJ, and fitful sleep. I was successful by most peoples’ standards, but my stressful lifestyle was literally killing me.

Finally, I decided to take charge of my life when I could no longer open screw-top lids without a wrench, or walk down the stairs without the handrail or “crab-walking”, or get up from a chair without significant pain.  I was only 54 years old and I moved like someone 20 years older. I went to doctors, chiropractors, massage therapists, yoga. All of them helped a little, but I did not have lasting results because I did not change from the inside-out.

Then I made significant food and lifestyle changes. It wasn’t overnight, but learning what some of the root causes and triggers were and how to make step-wise changes, changed everything. I no longer struggle to walk downstairs and only rarely suffer a migraine. My joint pain is much less because I have inflammation under control. During this time of discovery, I stumbled upon Institute of Integrative Nutrition (IIN). I was so excited to find an education program that would enable me to help others with their journey towards better health. My passion is to help you be the Best You possible!

I have worked in healthcare information technology for over 25 years in a variety of professional roles, most recently as a consultant program and project manager implementing EHR and EMR systems for hospital systems. I know what it is like to have a stressful, busy career while trying to balance time for good health.

What is keeping you from being your best you?
